Pioneer Champion Series PRO Subwoofers

Powerful by Design
Champion Series PRO subwoofers deliver incredible musicality heightened by booming bass--all in a versatile, compact design. Inspired by Pioneer's strong SPL heritage, Champion PRO subwoofers deliver a remarkably powerful, accurate, and clear low-end that will transform your in-car audio experience.

Air Suspension System
Boasting big bass power, the patented air suspension technology of the Champion Series PRO subwoofer makes it a hard-hitting performer. The innovative architecture of the chamber creates a spring-like effect that compresses air, enabling the speaker to fit a 10-inch enclosure while delivering 12-inch bass sound.

Stealthy Installation
Masterfully engineered to deliver maximum sound in a minimal enclosure space, the Champion Series PRO subwoofer is designed to fit a variety of spaces. From under the front seats and behind the back seats, to inside doors and under the dash, your install can be customized to fit your needs.

Built to Last
The Champion Series PRO subwoofer combines innovative technology with top quality materials to consistently deliver superior performance. This subwoofer houses a three-layer, wide-roll, fiber-woven radial surround that provides phenomenal power handling with minimal distortion. The enduring strength of this subwoofer comes from its aluminum die-cast chassis, double stacked magnets, patented air suspension system, and rigid lightweight IMPP cone.

TS-W3002D4 Features

Air Suspension System
For its revolutionary 3.25 inch deep Shallow Subwoofer, Pioneer created an Air Suspension system effective within a 70% smaller-than-previous enclosure that locks air for a spring-like effect between main and drive cones moving in unison. The result is consistently clear, powerful, wide-ranging bass response. The subwoofer's dual cone structure maintains better sound linearity and reliability after hours of hard use than conventional subwoofers with "spider" structures to keep the voice coil aligned. This incredible technology is applied to this new generation of high output, high performance subwoofers.

Double-Stack Magnet with Double-Stack Top Plate
To produce the tremendous magnetic energy we envisioned for this sub, we employed double-stacked magnets, weighing a hefty 110oz, and a double-stacked top plate above them. This design ensures positive, powerful control of the voice coil during those long excursions--and it's one reason you can ring up those high SPL numbers.

Wide-Roll 3-Layer Fiber Radial Surround
A sub's surround plays a key role in a speaker's performance. In order for bass response to be clear and tight, the surround has to respond evenly around its entire circumference without flexing or puckering, even at high volume levels. That's why Pioneer created a surround consisting of two layers of urethane with a layer of interwoven fiber between them. It's strong, stable, and it reduces distortion. In addition, the wider-than-normal design provides a long, linear excursion for excellent control and heavy-duty durability.

Interlaced Basalt/Carbon Fiber Reinforced IMPP Cone
To ensure that you get more natural bass, Pioneer incorporated their new Basalt fiber technology into their shallow subwoofers. The volcanic-rock fibers create a cone that is lightweight, rigid, well damped, stable in temperature extremes, and more . In short, this bass really rocks.

Cast Aluminum Basket
Designed from scratch by Pioneer, this one-piece aluminum basket assembly holds the motor assembly, cone, and magnet structure securely in place. The benefits of this design: reduced internal stress, superior damping, and increased magnetic efficiency.

Dual Voice Coil
The TS-W3002D2/D4 provides two voice coils, each either at dual 2 or dual 4 ohms. So you can use a low-impedance amp to produce much bigger, much more powerful bass. More options, more power: that's what DVC is all about. The Bridging Adapter is included for an easy Single Voice Coil hookup. It becomes a Single 4 Ohm or Single 8 Ohm with Bridging Adapter for ultimate flexibility for use with modern mono amplifiers

Add Newly Designed Spoke Grilles
We also recommend covering up your subwoofer with the UD-G308 . This stylish spoke grille is a must add-on when building a system and gives the look of pure professionalism.

Key Features

Genuine THX-certified audio quality

Phase-plug drivers for more accurate sound reproduction
From the soaring high note in a guitar solo to the loud burst of jet engines in an action movie, Logitech Phase Plug drivers make sure you don't miss a sound. A cone-shaped aluminum Phase Plug at the center of the driver helps to accurately reproduce high- and mid-range frequencies with less coloration than standard drivers. And because the Phase Plug acts as a heat sink, the driver is better able to preserve dynamic range. So you hear the quiet of a whisper and the loud, full force of an explosion. The Phase Plug even acts as a reflector, creating a much wider sweet spot of mid to high frequencies compared to conventional speaker designs. The bottom line? The true sonic signature of your movies, music and games comes through loud and clear.

Long-throw subwoofer for rich, room-filling bass
Intensify your movie, music and gaming experience with distortion-free bass that goes extra deep. The powerful 8-inch, 120 watt driver reproduces the wide range of low frequencies that deliver room-shaking rumbles and rich, tight bass notes. And with Logitech's flared side port, the port noise that can occur with subwoofers is eliminated.

It's big, bold bass without the distractions.

SoundTouch™ remote for easy control
You have complete control over your listening experience with this sleek wired remote. Control master volume, subwoofer level and power. There's even a headphone jack for private listening.

Audio adapter for quick device connections

Pioneer TSSW251 Shallow Mount 10 Inch 800 Watts Subwoofer Review

Pioneer TSSW251 Shallow Mount 10 Inch 800 Watts Subwoofer Feature

    • Subwoofer Size: 10 Inches
    • Designed to fit into small spaces under seat, behind seat or Rear Side
    • 800 Watts
    • Flat Woofer
This 10-inch shallow subwoofer handles 800 watts max., 200 watts nominal power, and delivers deep bass with top-notch sound quality thanks to features like Pioneer's extremely strong and lightweight interlaced composite IMPP Cone.

    Pioneer's Shallow Series Subs

    Lean and Mean
The Pioneer Shallow Series subwoofer derives its big bass sound from its innovative design. Although only 3-1/4 inches thick, the Shallow Series uses state-of-the-art, patented air suspension technology to create a tight spring of pressure that delivers a wide-ranging bass response. The result is a radically thin subwoofer that fits a variety of enclosures and gives your system accurate, powerful, and satisfying bass.

    "ib-FLAT"
Known as the "flat" subwoofer, the ib-FLAT name is derived from the speaker's two most outstanding characteristics. The "i" stands for intelligent design and describes the cutting-edge air-suspension technology that gives the speaker its remarkable size and strength. "b FLAT" refers to its ability to accurately and easily play 29.135 Hertz, the sound of the lowest black key on the piano and one of the most difficult to reproduce. Musical and robust, the ib-FLAT boasts an amazing range, enabling you to hear each performance on a grand scale.

    Install Anywhere
The sleek design and compact size of Pioneer Shallow Series subs enables you to perform great custom installations. The Shallow Series plays perfectly in both tight and hidden spaces, providing you with the same booming bass performance of a regular subwoofer. Whether hidden or seen, the big bass sound of these versatile speakers will definitely get you noticed.

    TS-SW251 Features

    Air Suspension System
In order to create a subwoofer that is three and a quarter inches deep, Pioneer had to develop revolutionary subwoofer technology. A traditional subwoofer uses the spider design to keep the voice coil of the speaker aligned while it moves. This type of set-up can become soft over time degrading the subwoofer's performance. Pioneer created a patent-pending air suspension system that locks air between a main cone and a drive cone. The cones move together in unison, with the locked-in air behaving like a spring. The dual-cone structure is a spider-less design that maintains better sound linearity, and reliability even after many of hours of hard use.

The pressure from the trapped air results in a consistent bass response across a wide frequency range. The result is a tight, precise movement with powerful and clean bass output.

    3-Layer Interwoven Radial Surround
The shallow subwoofer incorporates an innovative woven cloth reinforced radial urethane surround for improved power handling, reduced distortion, improved durability, and louder, more controlled bass. The surround is constructed of three layers--two of urethane and one of interwoven cloth. The interwoven cloth distributes strength throughout the surround material and improving its high power capability. The result is an extremely durable and resilient surround that resists puckering, even under intense power conditions.

Unlike traditional surrounds that use a single arch shape design, the Pioneer Shallow Subwoofer utilizes a patent-pending M-shape surround that provides superior sound linearity.

    M-Shaped Surround
The M-shape surround also has a lower height, and a lower fc or tuning frequency. The lower fc threshold translates to better and longer performance at lower frequencies.

    Angled Push Terminals
Traditional subwoofer terminals are mounted horizontally or vertically. These mounts force wires to be bent to fit which can be difficult if low-gauge high performance wires are used. The Pioneer shallow subwoofer's patent-pending, angled push terminals make it easy to connect speaker wires. The straighter connection saves space and makes installation easier.

    Fin-Shaped Basket
Traditional subwoofers push air downward. This creates a "loading effect' or area of pressure underneath the speaker which hampers performance and responsiveness. The rear of the powerful and slim Pioneer shallow subwoofer is designed with specially-shaped fins that channel the airflow sideways instead of downward. Air is continuously pushed in a circular motion, eliminating the "loading effect" or unwanted pressure of air behind the cone.

This 10-inch shallow subwoofer handles 800 watts.

    What's in the Box

Pioneer TS-SW251 Subwoofer, Mounting Screws/Washers, Installation Guide Less than 3.5-inches deep and requires an extremely small enclosure making it the ideal subwoofer for consumers who want the added benefits of bass in their cars but are not fond of the inconvenience associated with large subwoofer enclosures.

The subwoofer is packed with additional new features including C-type shaped reinforced nodes, M-shaped three-layer fiber woven radial surround, interlaced ultra-long glass fiber reinforced IMMP cone, large magnet circuitry and 2-piece T-pole yoke all of which help produce great audio quality for this extremely shallow speaker. Because of the air suspension technology, the subwoofer requires much less than the standard 1.0 cubic foot of enclosure volume to perform at its optimal level.
BR>The rear of the subwoofer features a stamped metal fin-shape directional basket directing air movement sideways, to eliminate the loading effect when the rear of the subwoofer is installed too close to the wall of a speaker enclosure. Additional features of the subwoofer include increased input power capabilities and spring loaded input terminals.
